We are looking for exceptional people to join BAMTECH’s Hockey team, a group of passionate hockey fans and digital innovators. We build, operate and monetize the digital products of the National Hockey League, working in close partnership with executives and employees at the league.
Our team spans advertising sales and sponsorships, content, product, NHL club initiatives and three different premium subscription offerings for hockey fans around the globe. We are dedicated to the growth and success of the NHL’s digital products, including the NHL app, NHL.com and NHL.TV.
Additionally, we partner with the NHL Network, Rogers Media in Canada, and MVPDs for Center Ice, a subscription product for live hockey on demand. The Director, NHL Product Management will be responsible for bringing hockey’s digital product roadmap to life for the NHL and participating NHL clubs. This role will report into the Vice President, NHL Product Management.
This highly talented individual will partner across BAMTECH engineering, product, analytics, sponsorship, business development, marketing, operations, PR and finance. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, collaborative, creative and organized with demonstrated leadership success in digital product management. Hockey fandom strongly preferred.
-Critical member of NHL Product Management team
-Leadership role in NHL product development process from ideation and scoping to execution and launch
-Interface with engineering teams regularly to represent product requirements
-Perform against key product metrics without exception. Meet deadlines with enthusiasm and confidence
-Present NHL’s product roadmap deliverables to BAMTECH and NHL leadership
-Cultivate an environment of accountability and seamless communication across teams throughout product workflows

Experience / Skills
-5+ years of product management experience with a track record of building consumer products at scale
-2+ years of experience of management
-Expertise in agile methodologies and the full software lifecycle: application development (application structure, device and operating system APIs, debugging, performance, security) and deployment
-Experience with product management best practices including techniques for identifying customer needs, hypothesis-driven roadmaps, AB testing and data analysis
-Understanding of technology, mobile economics and connecting user behaviors to business outcomes
-Exceptional critical thinker, effective communicator and influencer across business and technology functions, creative problem solver, ability and willingness to listen to all stakeholders and direct reports, organized and focused
-Flexible, positive, extremely organized and hardworking
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
