ipsy is looking to hire a talented Video Editor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a keen aesthetic eye with experience in visual storytelling and editing web content for YouTube and other social media platforms. Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects is a must. Strong color grading experience is also preferred (DaVinci Resolve or SpeedGrade). Candidate should demonstrate a passion for beauty and fashion. This position is full time and based in our Santa Monica studio.

Key Responsibilities:

-Ability to edit a high volume of videos and make multiple iterations
-Ability to deliver edits and implement revisions on tight deadlines.
-Motion graphics experience is a plus.
-Knowledge of contemporary cameras, file formats, codecs, and their proper handling in a post production workflow.
-Ability to communicate needs in a positive and productive fashion.
-Contribute creative ideas to the editing process, including original graphics/animations.
-Able to handle minor sound design and audio mixing.
-Strong understanding of post-production workflow and the ability to provide recommendations to increase efficiency.
-Excels in a team environment, ability to build/maintain positive relationships through strong collaboration efforts.

Experience / Skills


-2+ years experience in video/film production as an editor.
-Experience in editing makeup tutorials, fashion, beauty, lifestyle and wellness videos.
-Familiarity exporting video across all social media platforms (i.e YouTube, Facebook, mobile, Instagram, and Snapchat).
-Expert understanding of editing, motion graphics and color grading software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, SpeedGrade, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve.
-Strong editing reel.
-Detail oritented with a creative mind and storytelling skills
-Able to multi-task and work in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
