As our Videographer, you will work alongside our creative team and have the opportunity to apply your imagination to organize, shoot, assist with, edit, and optimize video content for any or all of our channels: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and the Revant Optics website to name a few. This fast-paced role will bring to life many exciting branding-building efforts and requires a self-starter that can work both independently and collaboratively .

Pay Rate: $15/hr and an estimated average of 15-20 hours per week.

Experience / Skills

Essential Functions

-Work with the creative team to brainstorm and execute ideas that lead to the production of on- brand and innovative video content.
-Design and create videos combining graphics, voice over / audio, and live video segments.
-Coordinate and organize video shoots and assist during filming, including set-up and takedown tasks like prepping studio or location for video shoots, setting up cameras and lights, and ensuring all parties involved know when to be on location.
-Develop several approaches to color correction and basic sound editing.
-Utilize best practices of media organization, video codecs, frame rates, and compression for publishing to the web.
-Audio & video editing, encoding & compression.
-Render videos for YouTube and other types of digital distribution.
-Help ensure that graphic brand standards are met across different types of media.
-Review industry trends and collect data based on the findings to fulfill the overall outlook of the production.
-Music research – create a suitable music library for use in production.
-Meet or exceed metrics as outlined by manager.


-Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite
-Must be comfortable with DSLR cameras, professional video equipment, lighting and audio equipment
-Knowledge of YouTube, social media, and viral trends and content
-Knowledge of current trends in outdoor equipment industries

Required Education and Experience

-Minimum of 2 years in video production
-Pre-production: define audience, clarify message, write & revise script, decide video length, make shot list, create production schedule, visit location(s) ahead of time, determine needed equipment, and line up talent.
-Post-production: picture & sound effects editing, music composition, visual effects, sound mixing, and color correction.
