The Senior Coordinator, Content and Platform Strategy, is responsible for working to deliver social media value through strategy, content development and execution. The Senior Coordinator must possess advanced knowledge of all primary content channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube) and also have an eye towards emerging trends and platforms. Creativity and expertise in content strategy, development, creation and execution are key elements of the role.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-High level, strategic content support of NASCAR’s social and digital channels, including NASCAR.com, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat
-Ideation, development, management, and execution of content programs and campaigns that help NASCAR to meet and succeed various business goals and objectives
-Oversee and often execute content development leveraging relevant tools (e.g. Adobe’s creative suite) and through working with NASCAR Productions and NASCAR Creative Design
-Work with internal and external constituents to develop branded content that can help deliver value across all mediums with particular focus on social
-Support relationships with each of the major social platforms to leverage new technologies, collaborate on content development, and maximize reach
-Closely track emerging trends, tools, platforms in social / digital; train and educate industry colleagues on social media best practices
-Leverage social media analytics (in collaboration with NASCAR Analytics & Insights) and apply key learnings to content strategy
-Maintain current knowledge of, conduct regular research on and monitor other sites (both sport and non-sport) for latest online innovations and technology
-30% travel required including weekends. Non-traditional work week, including nights and weekends.
Experience / Skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four (4) year college or university and one (1) to three (3) years of current experience in social media and content development.
-Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects)
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Knowledge of social media content management and reporting platforms
-Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking
-Passion for digital and social media
-Strong copywriting background
-Photo editing capabilities
-Experience working with sports and entertainment properties preferred
-Video editing experience preferred
