Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the organizational aspects of the region’s multiple, simultaneous video projects. Managing video production scheduling and line producing to ensure that productions are scalable, executed smoothly, meet deadlines, align with content formats and stay within budgets
• Maintain Americas content and team calendars assisting Head of Content to integrate into global calendar
• Production coordinate all video shoot logistics for the region assisting the lead Producer/Director; liaising with multiple internal departments (Ops, IT, Marketing, Art Depts, Specialists) and external partners (crew, production companies, equipment rental houses) to plan, schedule, and execute shoots in-house and on location
• Assist on set as needed (assistant camera, production assist, location scout, monitor camera shots for stylistic compliance)
• Manage global gallery video screens and Christie’s content distribution network to ensure global videos are encoded and distributed to various outlets according to proposal promises, marketing requests, and content strategy
• Associate produce and ensure guidelines for social media video projects (filming or organizing teams to execute, oversee edits, subtitle cut downs, short object and exhibition preview videos, hyperlapses, FB live tours, etc)
• Coordinate materials for edits (footage/images/music/copy/translation) and scripts/image delivery to editorial team for features text
• Attend weekly editorial meetings and social media team meetings and assist in team management to track video and social media activities for Americas
• Contribute to project concept development when called upon
• Manage storage of department assets (video, audio, images, music, appearance release files)
• Liase with IT when needed for dept space, equipment needs, database implementation

Experience / Skills


Skills required:

• Proven video production skills; understanding of the crew needs and technical processes involved in production, including camera, lighting, sound and editing
• Team player working with all members of the production team and other contributors
• Detail oriented and excellent project management skills
• Working knowledge of DSLR and Broadcast camera equipment and the relevant computer packages a plus
• Understand how to comply with regulations relating to liability and indemnity when shooting at different locations
• Understand how to ensure that all necessary licenses and clearances have been obtained for a production
• Art history background or passion for the arts a plus
