The Coordinator, Video Production, will focus on the creation and production of video elements for internal departments, domestic/international events, sponsor fulfillment and social media platforms. This role will be tasked with overall project support and will assist with the daily video needs of U.S. Figure Skating which includes but not limited to; shooting and editing in support of various projects for internal & external needs, ingesting and tagging video, fulfilling video licensing requests, maintaining and updating camera equipment and hardware, and managing external production partner relationships

Duties & Responsibilities:

Video/Digital Content Creation
• Produce daily content to promote U.S. Figure Skating programs and events. Content could include images, copy, videos, graphics, GIFs and other visual content.
• Script, shoot, edit and produce videos, understanding the need to customize for different platforms – digital, broadcast, and live event entertainment.
• Manage on location shoots and direct single or multi-camera projects, such as in-studio interviews, press conferences, live events.
• Create motion graphics for use in advertising, sizzle reels, post-produced and live programming
• Work in a collaborative environment with other content creators and organizational brand leaders to fill the growing demand for content on U.S. Figure Skating platforms

Footage Management

• Assist with archiving, logging and metadata tagging within main storage library
• Organize and ingest raw footage from live shoots, events, etc.

Production Process Oversight

• Manage competition production processes
o Pre-production prep (equipment, footage checklists)
o Footage procurement and file management
o Customer service portal
• Assist with archiving, logging and metadata tagging within main storage library
• Oversee the management, tracking and maintenance of all digital equipment.
• Recruit, schedule and manage contractual relationships, including invoice processing and daily communication with freelance personnel
• Serve as technical producer at assigned events

Experience / Skills

-It is preferred that the applicant holds a bachelor’s degree in Film and Video Production, Digital Media Design, Broadcast Communications or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered. -Demonstrable work experience scripting, producing, shooting and editing compelling digital campaigns within a fast-paced editing environment is required.
-Proficiency within the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encoder, Prelude) is a must.
-A creative self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment will be successful in this position.
-Ability to work non-traditional hours and weekends as required.
-Domestic travel to major annual events, including Skate America and the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.


• Experience shooting, editing and managing the production of premium digital video content
• A strong knowledge of applicable creative software applications within the Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, After Effects, Encoder, Photoshop)
• Experience operating and maintaining professional production equipment, including DSLR shooting and professional video cameras
• Fluency creating motion graphics with additional skills in color grading, sound mixing
• Knowledge of audio and lighting production, both on location and in-studio
• Knowledge in video codecs, working with different file types and media formats
• Strong understanding of the current digital and social media landscape, keeping abreast of the latest trends and formats in digital video and features on key platforms
