Seeker is looking for a qualified part-time Video Assistant Editor experienced with Premiere Pro to support our post-production and creative team. This is a perfect opportunity for a beginning editor to gain hands-on experience in non-fiction video production and editing.

This is a contract position. Candidates must be able to commit to at least 24 hours per a week and a 3-month term.

This position is located in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Assist Editors with short documentary projects by preparing projects in Premiere Pro: ingest, log, file organization, a-roll interviews, and audio syncing
-Help source, capture and organize b-roll footage and stock images
-Prepare interviews for transcription
-Revise media based on feedback from editors and production teams
-Support thumbnail production as needed
-Support producers during studio and field productions
-Assist production team with supporting documentation: music reporting, show logs and updating Seeker’s database, etc.

Experience / Skills


Requirements:

-Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro – please include links to your work
-Organized, self-starter with the ability to work independently
-Excellent communication and writing skills
-Passion for technology, science is a plus
-Creative, dependable and ready to learn!
