TMBI is seeking an experienced Video Product Manager to own and drive new video product development. Your role will be to expand our video advertising experiences, capabilities, and tools. You will help navigate the shifting digital landscape by building products that drive incremental revenue, increase user engagement, and deliver key insights about their audiences.

The Video Product Manager will serve as the critical bridge between the business needs of our Advertisers, the technologists who build our video advertising platforms, the TMBI video team and the new products they enable. The Video Product Manager will work with the sales teams and clients to understand current and future market needs, as well as with the Technology teams throughout the development process. The Video Product Manager is ultimately responsible for bringing products to market and ensuring a successful execution of the strategy.

This highly collaborative role will work across Sales, Product, Technology, Design, and Editorial to deliver results: advertising experiences, capabilities, and tools that match marketer needs and increase video advertising revenue.

What you’ll do:

-Data-driven product development, with the ability to define and execute products that meet quality, engagement, and retention goals for creators and viewers

-Define and track quality benchmarks and goals around playback, viewer engagement, and creator retention - both on a qualitative and quantitative level

-Lead products end-to-end through the video pipeline; starting from inception, to research, prototyping, planning, development, testing, launches, and iterations

-Prioritize initiatives against team KPI’s, projecting ROI, and continuous iteration towards product goals

-Guide design, prototyping, and hands-on testing with design in order to quickly iterate on product concepts to meet business and user needs

-Innovate around player tools and delivery techniques to continue to redefine video experiences and user behavior as technology evolves

-Competitive analysis on best practices and latest innovations around search and recommendations

-Define requirements and scope of current and future products by conducting market research, product ideation, prototyping, and data-driven decision making

-Manage the entire product development lifecycle working with the engineering team from ideation to design to development to rollout and support

-Work with marketing and sales to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer

-Serve as the internal and external evangelist for the video product offering, working with the internal development team and key customers

-Stay current with products/solutions in the media technology space for industry trends, potential partnerships, and competitive intelligence

-Serve as a single point of contact and dedicated resource for Creative Strategy on RFP’s and product capabilities as needed

Experience / Skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

-Over 5 years building digital products across platforms
-At least 3 years working with video or media
-Video streaming and delivery, including proven success around improving quality delivered, reducing startup time, reducing buffer ratio, and overall perceived quality for users across all platforms and regions
-Player interactivity/non-linear video, including proven success in driving engagement and conversion with in player tools
-End-to-end live video experiences, including ingest, encoding, delivery, and playback
-Strong interpersonal skills, and success in evolving team culture in a positive and more productive direction
-Strong technical background with experience working in a lean and agile product development environment
-Deep knowledge of the digital video advertising landscape, specifically with ad serving platforms, content marketplaces, VAST/VPAID, SSPs, DSPs, and DMPs
-An aptitude for data-driven decision making
-Proven track record of utilizing a customer-centric approach to development by implementing tools to track and analyze customer feedback
