We’re looking for a creative, organised and motivated Social Video Producer to join our growing production team at Culture Trip. Based in our New York office you will produce highly engaging videos for our global social channels. You will be social-first in your thinking and will want to tell amazing stories from around the world, which encourage our audience to engage with our brand.

You will conceptualise, research, pitch, produce and edit high quality films that inspire our audience to travel and learn about all the interesting differences around the world. Your role will involve video output by freelance remote ‘hub’ Filmmakers, UGC content from contributors and in-house productions. You will help us grow this team as Culture Trip’s output increases.

Creative, communicative and collaborative, you will have a strong background in storytelling and production management. You should be a confident and diligent person with the demonstrated ability to create and improve on new platforms features. It’s important in this role that you have a strong appreciation of cultural subtleties, as we create films that span territories across the globe. You will create films that convey this diversity, while adhering to a recognisable Culture Trip style, which you will help evolve. You will report directly to our Social Video Lead at our London office, but be based with the Culture Trip Video Team in New York.

In a nutshell: your job is to create the best and most engaging, on-brand, social videos in online media. You will be part of a growing social media team of Platform Managers, Social Video Producers and Social Video Editors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Consistently produce social films with an emphasis on storytelling
-Ideate, write and coordinate video shoots around the world, but be our expert on the Americas
-Manage multiple creative assignments in a hands-on fashion during all stages of development, from ideation through post-production
-Responsible for delivering high quality and engaging video that supports Culture Trip’s mission, and within a tight budget
-Work with filmmakers to produce engaging untold stories
-Work closely with the Social Video Editor(s) to make sure maximum output is achieved each month
-Find experienced filmmakers in different locations around the world, starting with the Americas
-Help build our brand awareness

Experience / Skills


DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

-A degree in film production (or relevant other qualification) and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
-Experienced in producing engaging social videos
-Understanding of storytelling and what makes an engaging story
-Video background with social media experience
-Experienced in editing with Premiere Pro CC
-Proficiency with using DSLR Cameras a plus
-You should be highly passionate about creating exciting, inspiring, and snackable films about cultures and experiences all around the world.
-The ability to work at speed in a fast turnaround environment, without sacrificing quality of content.
-Active social media user with experience of various social channels
-Appreciation of global audience and subtlety of cultural differences across the world.
-Be comfortable juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
-Proven track record of success in growing followers and engagement on social media platforms
-Passion for culture, travel, food, art, lifestyle will come in handy
-You must be open to new ways of thinking and operating, always challenging yourself
