Content creator for US Open and USTA social media platforms. Responsible for identifying and creating compelling content that drives conversation and engagements around our brands and initiatives.

-Responsible for the creation of content from concept to completion for use on US Open and USTA social media platforms. Content to include a mix of videos, GIFs, photos,graphics and text.
-Leverages data to make or adjust content for improved performance
-Generates ideas for content or activations that come to life on social media channels
-Grows reach and engagement across social media platforms
-Works collaboratively with fellow content creators; takes part in regular brainstorming and pitch sessions
-Works with the broader Content Team to create unique content around key initiatives and as events unfold in real-time
-Stays abreast of daily topical news and trends as it relates to tennis, pop culture, travel and lifestyle
-Provide curation of user-generated content and identifies brand advocates
-Maintains quality control procedures and ensures all copy is fact-checked and images are brand appropriate while adhering to brand standards and established voice across platforms..
-Ensures all content is properly tagged (e.g. handles, hashtags, geo-location etc.) and correct links are used
-Ensures posts are tagged within social media tracking tool(s)
-Flags and escalates any potential issues e.g. monitoring negative sentiment

Experience / Skills


Qualifications/Other:

-Position requires a high degree of creativity
-Must have sound judgment and decision making skills
-Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure
-Ability to work well both in a collaborative, team environment as well as independently in creating and posting content without supervisor approval
-Minimum of 3 years of experience developing content for use on social media platforms.Experience in field production and/or creation of photos, videos and graphics is required.
-Background in tennis or sports content preferred; strong interest in tennis required

Minimum:

-Bachelor’s Degree in related field e.g. journalism or communications preferred
-Strong knowledge of the social web including creating content for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms, best practices, success metrics and emerging platforms
-Strong writing and editing skills, including grammar, style and spelling
-Commitment to high-quality productions that meet brand and fan standards
-Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Microsoft programs
-Prior experience operating and maintaining professional digital video and audio equipment
-Position may include non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
-Positive and proactive attitude Self-starter & resourceful
