The Creative Services team, part of a large Communications and Marketing Department at NYU Langone Health, seeks an editor to join NYU Langone Health’s in-house creative media department. Editor will work on a range of video projects for clients across the organization; including marketing videos, social media content, surgical, training videos, corporate lectures and events, and more. Ideal candidates will have a flexible editing style and are able to create content that fits the organization’s overall brand. You’ll collaborate with our creative team to create content that informs and shares our organization’s story. We are a small (but busy!) department and are looking for an editor who can manage multiple projects at once and adapt to changing deadlines.

This is a 40 hour/week freelance position. To be considered, please submit a cover letter, resume and reel/samples of video work.

Responsibilities:

• Quickly edit a broad range of video content
• Organize, review, and cut all footage for rough through final cuts
• Communicate with clients directly to address notes
• Partner with creative team on overall content story and motion graphics
• Work collaboratively with other team members utilizing cloud storage and shared drives
• Deliver final products to their respective distribution platforms

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience editing in a professional environment
• Experience editing short form digital content
• Able to construct a story from both scripted and unscripted material
• Must be able to work independently
• Have strong time management skills and able to prioritize workload
• Experienced managing multiple projects simultaneously and meet ongoing deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Experienced communicating directly with clients and addressing notes
• Comfortable editing sensitive material and medical footage
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and familiarity with the other Creative Cloud products
• Strong knowledge of After Effects a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Film/Television/Media or a related field
