The Head of Post-Production will lead & manage the company’s post-production team and is responsible for the successful implementation of production schedules and activities, ensuring all projects are done efficiently, to the highest quality of work, meeting time and budget constraints, and in accordance with the client’s vision and REDLAB’s business objectives.

Responsibilities:

-Work closely with both the Head of Sales and Executive Producer to maintain and develop business relationships and to secure new productions
-Lead and develop a team of post-production Producers, Supervisors, Coordinators and Artists to execute top quality work on time and on budget.
-Establish and communicate the production priorities and best methods, work flows to team.
-Identify process improvement needs and potentially implement a company wide project management system
-Oversee the process management of projects and each department schedule to ensure an efficient pipeline
-Supervise and manage the bidding process and eventually the cost reports for each production
-Participate in dailies when able, to review artist work to ensure shots and sequences are on schedule and delivered to the highest quality
-Work with production team and/or clients to solve any creative and technical problems under tight deadlines and fast turnaround
-Lead post-mortems with production teams to evaluate project and identify any issues and implement change management
-Informs decisions within the business to his/her team and gives visibility through data analysis of potential risks and opportunities.
-Leverage resources of related departments to address the studios resource and capacity challenges
-Optimize the utilization of staff across the company, prioritizing work and partnering with the management teams to drive resource allocation decisions
-Participates in and presents analyses and resourcing reports in Management meetings
-Works with Producers to ensure show scheduling is accurate and accounted for
-Works closely with Finance, Production and creative teams to ensure that deliverables are met within agreed budgets/targets
-Regularly meets with departments to ensure project progress and client directives and deliverables are being achieved
-Cascades company messaging and provides key role in change management programmes as necessary
-Maintains overall view of resource for projects, including coordinating with HR on the impact of employment contracts
-Ability to stay motivated and to motivate your colleagues in a fast paced environment
-Manage, support, mentor, and train team members as needed so that they can meet the quality standards required by the production
-Actively participate in team member’s on going work performance review and year end review

Experience / Skills


-8+ years experience in a same or similar leadership role
-5+ years experience as a Producer, ideally in the Post world.
-Superior working knowledge of Shotgun (or a similar production management software)
-Experience implementing process improvement and a cross-department project management system
-Thorough understanding of feature film, television, commercial & VFX production pipelines.
-Excellent communication and problem solving skills
-Demonstrate leadership, confidence & excellence to team, department, clients and company
-Experienced project management while balancing quality with time constraints
-Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks at a time while remaining efficient and mindful of strict deadlines in a high-pressure environment
-Ability to build morale, team camaraderie and an overall enjoyable work environment
