(Respectfully, we will only consider seasoned Line Producers or UPMs with bona fide feature credits. Must be an expert at Movie Magic budgeting, with extensive knowledge of all line items, including post-production and VFX. No other applications will be considered. Please do not contact the office directly; absolutely no direct calls or emails will be engaged. Thank you.)
We are in development for an extremely ambitious, epic scale, post-Civil War musical drama featuring a very large cast that involves many elaborate locations and culminates in an apocalyptic Black Hawk Down-like massacre.
Project info can be seen at Realm-Entertainment.com/projects
The script has gotten excellent coverage and is drawing strong co-production interest. We currently have a $25 million budget, but want to create a revised budget in the $5-10 million dollar range that takes a far more ambitious cost-saving approach while still maintaining rich production value. The Line Producer for this job must have a resourceful, can-do, think-out-of-the-box, by-any-means-necessary approach to filmmaking, yet one that's realistic and feasible.
Ideally, the relationship will carry over to the production itself.
If we follow up on your submission:
*We'll contact you to further discuss the project and answer any questions.
*If all parties want to move forward, we'll send you the script. Because this project is so very ambitious, we believe it's essential that you be familiar with the demands of the script before signing on.
*If then both parties want to move forward, we'll make the hire to create the budget.
*If the budgeting process goes smoothly and all parties want to move forward, we'll discuss involvement on the feature itself.
We’re posting a $1,000 rate for the budget, but feel free to indicate if your minimum rate is higher. We will consider this, although cost will be a consideration in our hire.
Experience / Skills
Must be an expert at Movie Magic budgeting, with extensive knowledge of all line items for a feature budget, including all aspects of post-production.
Must have an ambitious, can-do, think-out-of-the-box, by-any-means-necessary indie approach to filmmaking, yet one that's ultimately realistic and doable. (We don't want a budget that just looks good on paper, but one that we can deliver.)
Must be great to work with :-)
