Your Role

As an HLT Multimedia Content Specialist, you will produce deliverables across many platforms — from educational videos and other media for test-takers and lifelong learners, to Facebook video ads and other marketing materials, to in-house communications.

Whether it’s creating high-level video, audio, or images, you’ll provide expert-level production and post-production work, owning projects, and taking initiative on deliverables.

As a member of the Digital Learning Team, you’ll collaborate frequently with our marketing, product, and software teams. You will be challenged to solve problems, stay on the cutting edge of media, and quickly finish deliverables across many platforms.

About You

You have a bachelor’s degree in film/video production, art, design, photography, or a related area. You have 4+ years experience working in production, post-production, education, marketing, communications, advertising, or similar experience.
Your technical skills include Adobe Premiere (or a willingness to learn quickly), other Adobe Creative Cloud apps (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), Google Sheets/Excel, and experience creating advanced motion graphics. Your bonus skills might include 3D modeling, video production, photography, illustration, movie trivia, or other fascinating hobby.

You have a passion for media and are motivated to continually educate yourself and improve your skills. You’re not afraid to present big ideas and venture outside of department with them, but also secure enough to accept critiques of your own work. You have an intuitive feel for effective educational media, but are able to adapt and iterate using data and analytics.

Your Responsibilities

•Coordinate with subject matter experts, social media team, content managers, and other stakeholders to create successful multimedia projects
•Create and edit audio, video, and still-image content, optimized for web and mobile, that satisfies educational, technical, and best practice requirements
•Research and acquire sources for the best AV content across a wide range of subjects
•Research the learning and training needs for all aspects of mobile and web content for our institutional and individual customers
•Partner with authors, subject matter experts, and advisory panels to continually improve the quality of published content, and help develop new and innovative learning resources to serve the needs of HLT’s learner community
•Excel in a collaborative environment that emphasizes quality, rigor, and critical thinking
•Demonstrate excellent organizational and time-management skills
•Commitment to continual process improvement
•Utilize strong problem-solving skills
•Perform other duties as assigned
