SpectroMagic Animation is looking for a 3D Modeler & Animator to join our team as a part-time contractor with potential for full-time employment. Our ideal candidate has a passion for 3D modeling, textureing and animation, has a disciplined self-starter work ethic, and is open to learning new techniques in 3D.

Required knowledge and 1-2 years experience in Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop. We create 3D products for animation, interactive AR/VR and print advertising in a variety of industries including sports, health/fitness, medical, engineering, architectural, mechanical and more.

Our work is seen all over the world in various formats and we are growing quickly.

Job Responsibilities:
Excellent skills in modeling and texturing both organic and hard surface models to the highest level of quality possible while maintaining restrictions and guidelines for each project.
The ability to follow instructions and meet tight deadlines.
Experience modeling with real-time systems standards.
Demonstrate proper UV maps and texture creation with Arnold materials.
Utilize tools to ensure model and textures are fully optimized for target platforms.
Ability to meet online regularly (IM, Email, Skype, Phone etc.).
Strong communication skills.
High attention to details.
Ability to work independently and interact effectively in a team environment.
Positive attitude and self motivation.

Job Location:
SpectroMagic is located in Orlando, Florida, but we work with clients and team members all over the world. We prefer to work with a local team member who is available for regular face-to-face meetings, however, if you are open to working remotely, and can provide excellent 3D models and animation and have outstanding communication skills, we will work with you regardless of your location.

Experience / Skills

Required Education & Experience:
High School diploma is required. College certificate or degree is preferred but not necessary.
A strong online portfolio demonstrating skills in 3D modeling, texturing and animation.
Deep understanding of Maya and Photoshop are required.
Proficient at creating clean and efficient models with proper UV layouts to be used in Unity game engine.
Passion for learning and taking direction.

Desired Additional Skills (But not necessary):
Familiarity with After Effects, Unity game engine, Substance Painter, Mudbox
