Broadcast and Video Production Graduate Assistant

Little Rock Athletics is seeking candidates for a Broadcast and Video Productions Graduate Assistant to begin in January 2020. The two year position would support the Little Rock Athletic Department in promoting and enhancing the program through digital video and broadcast operations.

Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to, managing all video and digital operations for online and social media while overseeing and serving as co-producer for Little Rock’s ESPN+ productions. The qualified candidate will have an excellent opportunity to be fully immersed in the production of Little Rock athletic events on ESPN+, serving as co-producer and overseeing the game day production staff.

This position will serve as the athletic department liason working with the UA Little Rock School of Mass Communications, assisting with coordinating staffing and training of students to produce live ESPN+ productions. This position will also serve as Little Rock’s representative with both the Sun Belt Conference and ESPN for broadcast operations.

Additionally, this position will be responsible for producing video and digital content for Little Rock’s 15 intercollegiate athletic programs to promote the department via the various social media platforms.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years experience in live sports production. Experience in non-linear editing (Adobe Creative Suite preferred) as well as familiarity working with DSLR and camera operations along with NewTek and Ross applications. Also a demonstrated ability to meet short deadlines and the ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced athletic environment.

Position Information: Full tuition (minus housing) will be covered by the department pending acceptance to a UA Little Rock master’s program. This position carries a stipend of $10,000 for the 10-month academic year (August through May) with an additional summer stipend available. The two year period of appointment will begin in January 2020 with an anticipated completion date in December 2021.
