Maslow Media has partnered with an Audiovisual & Broadcast Technology company, in search of an AV Field Install Technician (Sports/Gaming/Broadcast) in the Minneapolis metro area. The AV Field Install Technician is the primary field contact and coordinator for corporate, educational, gaming, sports, and broadcast projects under the direction of the Project Manager. In addition to performing installation duties, he or she shall be the point person in the field for crew delegation, client communication, installation standards, configuration, and training
Create and manage project plans consisting of 1-6 technicians and/or sub-contractors. Support Senior Lead Technician on large scale projects.
Implement projects by wirelisting, testing cable, equipment, fixtures and furniture, delivery coordination as well as storage and returns, and asbuilt documentation, to name a few.
Read, interpret, and utilize schematic and building drawings (CAD, Bluebeam, etc)
Correctly configure and set up equipment per specifications and/or drawings (i.e Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Evertz, GrassValley, Harris, Kramer, Ross, RDL, Tightrope).
Effectively handle network switching, connectivity, routing, terminations, and signal flow.
Accomplish successful results by communicating project expectations from planning, monitoring, training and appraising results, as well as coaching and enforcing safe practices.
Up to 70% travel with occasional evening, overnight, and weekend work.
Must be able to climb ladders up to 25’ tall, lift up to 75lb and work in cramped spaces and/or uneven surfaces.
Working knowledge of proper and safe use of lifts, ladders, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic tools.
3+ years of audiovisual and/or broadcast installation & IP Networking experience.
1+ years Lead Installation or equivalent work experience.
Two-year technical degree in low voltage electronics and/or networking, or equivalent work experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Valid driver’s license required, as well as CTS-I, PLT, OSHA 30 certifications required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of organization.
Self-motivated, resourceful and the ability to solve unusual or unexpected problems to keep project on time and within budget.
Maintain calm and professional demeanor in a fast paced, cross-functional work environment.
Demonstrate a strong set of leadership qualities to help positively interact with employees, team members, and clients.
