The Production Assistant with the Show Production team provides strong administrative and production field support for a variety of live show and theatrical entertainment experiences, projects and special events on the Disney Cruise Line fleet.


-Provide administrative support throughout the show life cycle of assigned projects, scheduling production team meetings, recording and distributing accurate, concise notes
-Serve as the point of contact in requesting/scheduling travel for both internal and external production team members for assigned projects and as directed by the Production Manager
-Gather presentation materials, and set-up and strike all meeting needs and technology
-Assist in procuring items necessary for the production, following all appropriate policies and guidelines
-Duties include production scheduling and communication, and coordination of access
-Prepare and provide consistent, timely event updates as these relate to technicians, vendors and talent and maintain timelines, schedules, meetings and status reports
-Complete any and all show or event production-related tasks as requested by those teams.
-Assist Producer and entertainment department leaders with other projects, as needed
-Travel extensively, domestically and internationally for assigned projects

Experience / Skills

Basic Qualifications:

-Minimum 2 years of production assistant and/or administrative support experience in live show, event, cruise or theatrical setting
-Proven ability to create and follow agendas, facilitate meetings, address action items, take direction, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner
-Demonstrated ability to multi-task and deliver quality, timely work, within tight deadlines
-Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being flexible to ever-changing priorities
-Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
-Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook and Keynote presentation software
-Proven ability in the use of collaboration tools and file sharing programs with the willingness to learn new applications
-Demonstrated skills in coordinating meeting technology, such as conference calls, video-teleconferencing, and other virtual meeting connectivity
-Demonstrated problem solving and ability to identify areas for continuous process improvement
-Trusted and respected team member that guides with integrity, with the ability to handle/manage confidential information with discretion
-Self-starter who takes initiative to assess needs proactively and provide resourceful solutions
-Proven ability to provide excellent service to Cast, Crew, Guests, Clients, and Partners
-Consistent and high quality work ethic
-Strong organizational skills with ability to organize and coordinate talent
-Available and willing to work weekends, holidays, and third shift, as needed
-Willingness to travel extensively on various domestic and international assignments as needed for Disney Cruise Line and/or Disney Signature

Preferred Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Entertainment Production and Operations in a professional theatrical, theme park, or cruise line environment
Fluency in any additional languages is a plus (German, Spanish, Mandarin, French, Japanese, etc.)
