Position Overview

Voyage Pictures is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Producer to champion the successful execution of film and video productions from concept development to final project delivery. The role will serve predominantly in a project management and production-related capacity, but will also provide support in business development and administration as needed.

Core responsibilities include creation and management of project timelines & budgets and logistical oversight throughout all project phases, with a goal of ensuring on time and on budget delivery.

The right candidate is personable, highly organized, customer service oriented, strategic, creatively adept, and can function effectively within an evolving organization. They like owning the entire project life cycle, see value in process and “over” communication, and are comfortable working within the confines of a budget. He/she has heightened attention to detail, is adept at finding creative solutions quickly and confidently, and can work collaboratively to achieve success on behalf of the organization.

Candidates versed in booking talent, hiring crews, securing logistical complexities, researching stories, providing editorial oversight, and managing crew are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Project delivery on time, meeting client expectations, and with creative, logistical, and budget goals met
-Simultaneously manage multiple projects in the portfolio
-Perform ongoing risk management to anticipate and resolve project roadblocks
-Coordinate resources, collaborators, and vendors for flawless and creative execution of projects
-Build and continually foster positive client relationships in collaboration with the sales team
-Balance fiscal responsibility and operational requests with flexible, accountable parameters for the creative process, delivering high quality cost effective results
-Responsible for maintaining all project collateral (budgets, schedules, documentation), ensuring it is up to date, accurate, properly labelled and shared
-Oversee client deliverables in each stage of production
-Serve as on-set Producer, providing a smooth experience for our clients, our collaborators and our team
-Address daily project requests and needs, ranging from client asks, to purchases, coordinating travel of crew, shipping of equipment, and other logistical needs
-Coordinate with clients, collaborators & crew, teammates and vendors to schedule production dates and other milestones
-Delegate to project coordinators/PAs/ADs as appropriate for large scale projects
-Escalations to leadership as appropriate
-Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals
-Collaborate with sales to identify new opportunities with existing clients
-Current knowledge of industry prices, trends, and vendor capabilities preferred

Experience / Skills


REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 3 years of successful project or production management, ideally in film, video or digital media
Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
Extensive experience with production budgeting
A passion for storytelling via film/video
Excellent communication (written and verbal, both client-facing and internal)
Able to hear ambiguous requests and understand the underlying need, then produce solution-oriented recommendations based on those requests
Collaborative, humble, curious, and resourceful
Film/Video on-set production experience a plus
Experience working in a creative agency a plus
