The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a Director, Studio Operations for our Broadcast Operations Team at our Headquarters office in Springfield, VA.

The Director, Studio Operations manages all in-house production for MBN including the conception and implementation of the operational and technical workflow necessary to successfully present news and programming to air. The Director is responsible for oversight of all control room, studio and scheduling resources and interfacing across MBN to ensure that requirements are appropriately supported, maintained and executed.

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Director, Studio Operations include, but are not limited to:

-Leading all studio and control room staff, operations, and facilities.
-Supervising, training, and developing all operations staff, including scheduling, providing timely performance feedback, and clear communication of expectations, goals, and objectives.
-Managing human and financial resources efficiently to effectively meet production requirements. Ensure proper staffing levels.
-Managing and reporting on departmental cost and implement sound cost control.
-Assisting in planning and executing special events and programs.
-Effectively communicating and coordinating across the organization.
-Ensuring consistent compliance with Department and MBN policies and established operating procedures.
-Alerting senior management to existing or emerging technical, resource, or staff issues in a timely manner and provide recommendations for resolution as appropriate.
-Tracking and managing Control Room, Studio and On-Air discrepancies.
-Directly support production as necessary.
-The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances.

Experience / Skills


Candidates are required to have:

-At least 7 years of experience in television production; 4 years of supervisory experience
-Must have authorization to work in the United States.
-Must be a self-starter and a team player
-Strong written and verbal communications skills
-Strong organizational skills and capable of handling multiple assignments
-An overall understanding of the news and programming production process
-A strong sense of urgency in addressing customer requests
-Commitment to excellence and to ongoing education in broadcast practices, systems and technology
-Willingness to work flexible hours, including overnights, holidays and weekends
