The University of Mississippi is seeking a creative, talented photographer who can capture the Ole Miss experience. Reporting to the Manager of Digital Imaging Services and a member of the marketing & brand strategy team, the person in this position will be responsible for creating high-quality images that bring the university’s story to life. Candidates should be skilled in all types of photography, and those whose portfolio include examples of advertising, commercial, and lifestyle photography are of particular interest. Assignments include and are not limited to: event coverage, group and individual studio shoots, photodocumentaries and creation of stock imagery.


Two (2) years of experience related to the above described duties. Requires a comprehensive knowledge of current photography software recognized as industry standards such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. Knowledge of lighting techniques as well as positioning are required as is a strong working knowledge of all necessary photography equipment (DSLRs). The candidate should have excellent time management skills as well as the ability to manage multiple projects with constant deadlines. A professional portfolio that represents a knowledge and expertise of high-quality photography is required.
