Experienced Full Time “Live Event Specialist”

From small conferences in need of technical support to huge multi-day, multi-venue events, Allied Video Productions provides our clients with sound, lighting, big screens, live cameras, playback, recording, streaming, broadcast or “all of the above.” We regularly travel the state of Oregon and the country with our clients, who’ve come to rely on us to ensure their events are flawless, regardless of the location.

We are seeking the right person with experience in all aspects of live audio/video/event production. Only qualified applicants will receive a response.

Experience / Skills

Required skills:

-Experience in planning and executing all aspects of live events, including:
-Live direction of multi camera shows, including media playback
-Planning and executing appropriate lighting, sound, projection and streaming
-Working in numerous venues of varying sizes and solving the various technical demands that each pose
-Ability to lead a team and stay positive in stressful situations
-Positive people skills to assure strong, lasting client interactions
-Minimum 3 years experience

Must be comfortable with:
-Planning, logistics, problem solving, budgeting
-Assessing a venue, and creating a technical plan for lighting, projection, cameras, etc.
-Working under tight timelines with a variety of venues, crews, and challenges.
-Live direction, Technical direction
-Camera setup and operation
-Video Switcher setup and operation
-Lighting setup, rigging and operation
-Sound setup and operation, including various microphones and sound system setups
-Projection setup, rigging and operation
-Screen setup, rigging and operation
-HD, SD, and computer signal standards, signal distribution, signal conversion and signal flow
-PowerPoint software
-Qlab and/or Show Cue Software
-Familiarity and comfort with Live Streaming
-Occasionally working at heights
-Scissor and boom lift operation
-Maintaining a good physical condition
-Regularly lifting up to 60 pounds
-Working directly with clients to meet their needs
-Experience in other aspects of video production (scripting, shooting, editing, etc.) a bonus

About Allied Video Productions

Based in Salem Oregon, we produce events in Salem, Portland, Eugene, Bend and the Coast. Occasional out of state travel is also required. One of our owners is the primary person on our staff filling this role at this time. As we have grown, it’s becoming necessary to add an additional person in this role in order to keep up with demand. Person hired is expected to live or relocate within 30 miles of our main Salem office.
