FOX 5 TV in Washington DC is looking for an Electronic News Gathering (ENG) Editor who is motivated by working in a graphic-intense, high-production value, fast-paced news environment. The ENG Editor will create high-quality product for various newscasts using state of the art, non-linear editing equipment while under specific and stringent time constraints. Must have working knowledge and experience with Edius editing platform, Bitcentral newsroom system and iNews highly preferred. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their understanding of what elements go into good storytelling and how to apply the appropriate techniques into the work product. This position may require cross training into other areas of the news operation. Must be a self-starter and able to work efficiently in fast-paced surroundings, both independently and in a team environment. This position requires daily collaboration with other members of the production teams to create compelling news content for air to grow ratings and maintain viewer interest. HS diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred. 3+ years’ experience with news or related editing for on-air product required. Weekends, holidays and varied hours required.
