The Director of Photography will work closely with the Chief Photographer and the photography and editing teams, training and developing staff to execute creative and dynamic visual stories. The successful candidate will have excellent linear editing skills, will be highly organized and driven, have proven leadership skills, strong visual storytelling skills and have the ability to capture compelling and creative video and sound. Must have a passion for training and developing teams on new techniques of storytelling, equipment use, drone photography, and creative live field reporting. Must be able to troubleshoot and provide solutions, collaborate with newsroom management, be flexible in scheduling, and excel in a fast-paced competitive newsroom. Successful candidate should have a minimum of six years photojournalism experience.
