Creative Video / Digital Content Intern

Middle Tennessee State University Athletics is searching for a qualified applicant to fill the role of Creative Video / Animation intern for the Sports Information Department. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to create their own content along with content ideas generated from the department. This position will need to be able to handle creative content for website, social platforms and videoboards along with advanced skills in animation/motion graphics.

This is a paid position; $10/hr

Former Interns have gone on to positions with; Conference USA, ESPN, WSMV Nashville, North Dakota State, Air Force Academy and the freelance field.

Essential Duties:
*Video content development for GoBlueRaiders.com, athletic development, individual team materials and marketing materials.
*Video spots highlighting special athletic events
*Capture and edit highlights from sporting events
*Produce and edit video feature stories in conjunction with Sports Information Directors
*Recording and uploading of post-event media press conferences as requested
*Cataloging and archiving game and media content during the academic year for future use
*Additional video projects as requested for web, promotional and television spots
*Develop new video content for social media
* Interviewing coaches and student-athletes
*Assist with video streaming using various technology such as NewTek Tricaster, Teradek and other video encoders
*Digital Content for in-venue digital displays
*Motion Graphics and animation experience a PLUS

Experience / Skills

III Required Qualifications:
a) Bachelor's degree
b) Strong verbal and written communication skills
c) Proficient in Adobe Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop
d) Working knowledge of live event production including setup of tricaster, camera and audio equipment.
e) Must understand signal generation and flow for troubleshooting technical issues.
f) Ideal candidate will be able to handle a project from end-to-end working independently and with a team.
