What You Will Do:
We are seeking a full-time Engineer In Charge to lead the daily activities of the mobile unit and provide the normal maintenance activities required for a NEP mobile unit to meet client requirements and operate up to NEP standards.. Key duties include:
-Work with the Director/Manager of Mobile Engineering to plan, coordinate, and assist with engineering projects for specified mobile units.
-Work with fellow Mobile Unit Engineers in the repair and maintenance of mobile unit operations.
-Ensure the smooth workflow of the maintenance group as it relates to the needs of mobile unit operations.
-Complete technical reports for each event to ensure equipment needs/issues are met and resolved.
-Coordinate equipment needs by working closely with Mobile Unit Coordinators and Field Shop Director.
-Maintain and file the proper expense reports on a per show or other designated basis.
-Assist with providing technical support for new mobile unit builds and system upgrades, in cooperation with the Engineering and Systems Integration teams.
Experience / Skills
What You Will Need:
-Technical or B.S./Electronics field or Engineering preferred, however various combinations of education and experience will be considered.
-5+ years of experience working in television production technology with progressive managerial responsibility.
-Demonstrated knowledge of technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks.
-Supervisory experience required; including project coordination, sales support, and other related activity.
-Ability to interface with clients and provide a high level of service and support.
-Must be willing and able to travel to NEP’s live events as scheduled.
-Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations.
