This position is responsible for assisting the Producer or Sr. Producer in the pre production, production, post production and editing phases of television, radio, telecommunications and other multi-media technology production.

Produces promos, underwriters, and content for PBS El Paso. Will work alongside producers and production director to conceptualize and produce content. Proactively participates in the creative cycle of story and program origination with reporters, supervisor, and other producers. Develops pitches and segment ideas as needed. Guides all projects through the production process to meet or exceed deadline, budget, quality and distribution requirements. selects and research es topics; contacts and interview sources; maintains notes and video recordings; writes and edits reports produces and shoots video for air. attends meetings and is responsible for appropriate recordkeeping, correspondence, phone calls, and supplies and equipment
Experience / Skills
High School and two years of direct training and/or experience in a telecommunications/multi-media environment.
Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media. Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operation of telecommunications systems. understand video pre-production, production and post-production. DSLR and video camera shooting, current media trends, and current methods of production and storytelling. Understanding and implementing PBS mission to help educate, inform and enlighten viewers. 2 years of production experience, adobe creative suite or creative cloud experience, television or film production experience preferred.
