Roadtrip Nation is an innovative, regional-Emmy award winning production company creating life-changing experiences, documentaries, online resources and education. We are on a mission to empower people with a range of backgrounds to create their own stories and define their own roads in life! We are looking for a Director to join our team. This is a full-time temporary role lasting 6-8 months and can be fully remote anywhere in the United States, outside of the 3 week roadtrip where travel is required.
This role plays an important part in creative direction and story arc development for the roadtrip while working collaboratively with RTN’s Production Team. Our roadtrips are thematic based on our partnerships and vision, but previous experience in the theme is not necessary to be successful in this role. This upcoming roadtrip is focused on health and the changing nature and direction of healthcare in California. This roadtrip will be exploring all of the roles and pathways that are revealed as we widen the lens of what health care and public health can be.
You may be asking, what is a Roadtrip Nation “roadtrip?” For 20 years, we’ve been sending people on road trips in our green RV to conduct interviews, expanding their ideas of what their careers—and lives—could look like. We want to help people find pathways to fulfilling work, and we’ve created a public television show, written bestselling books, and developed classroom curricula to show it’s possible. Applicants must be available for three weeks of consecutive travel in 2021. This trip is currently scheduled for August 2021.
