Production Manager for Video Production Company (Bellevue)


An experienced Production Manager (broadcast, webcast, and live action) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in live studio and narrative projects. You excel at all aspects of managing a production including budgeting, development, and requests for proposals. You have strong writing and oral communications skills, experience managing a show and relevant departments from prep to post.

JOB TITLE: Production Manager
REPORTS TO: Executive in Charge of Production
FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt, Salary


• Serves as main liaison between our company and clients to ensure projects are tracked and staffed efficiently;
• Manage the production of live multi-camera studio shows, case studies, and narrative project;
• Collaborate with core production team to ensure technical specs compliment creative elements;
• Interact with clients directly and generate new business relationships;
• Oversee creation and maintenance of production schedules;
• Supervise production crews of approx. 80 plus people;
• Able to problem solve for issues that arise during the course of a production;
• Create project status updates as needed;
• Use discretion and good judgement in representing the company while interfacing with clients, talent, and crew members;
• 'Self-motivate and work effectively under deadline pressure while coordinating multiple tasks;
• Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong understanding of how to run an efficient production;
• Knowledge of budgets and constraints.
• Work with designated COVID Safety Officer to ensure productions comply with health and safety regulation; and
• Other duties as assigned.


• Work Environment:
o Employee is generally required to work at our office in Bellevue or in an office-equipped client production location. Currently, this person will be working from home, unless on site for a specific production. If allowed by current government orders, an essential job function of this role is to be physically on location, as determined by the production. All productions will be run in accordance with governmental orders and COVID-19 safety protocols.
o This role routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers;
o This position routinely requires one to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or run and to do so outside, occasionally in inclement weather;
o The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and
o Must be able to operate various electronic devices including recording, video and photography equipment; and
o Must be able to work at a computer or audio equipment for long periods of time.

• Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
o This is a full-time position. The office generally operates 9am-5pm, but days and hours of this position may vary week-to-week. A willingness to work different schedules including weekends, nights, holidays, long shifts (10+ hours), and/or travel as needed is required for individual productions.

Experience / Skills


• Minimum 5 years documented production management experience in live broadcast, multi-camera studio shoots, and narrative projects;
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail;
• Track record of creative problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
• Positive can-do attitude; and
• Strong references.
