Lead Event Technician

Job Purpose:
Serve as onsite point person and coordinator for assigned events. Work with and coordinate
event production staff during load in and load out, operate and dismantle equipment.
Specific emphasis on teamwork, attention to details and safety.

Reports To: Production Manager

Essential Functions:
1. Review project requirements, drawings and paperwork with Production Manager
2. Perform site surveys, attend pre-production meetings as needed
3. Coordinate equipment preparation, pack and track all equipment in and out of the
warehouse (physically and electronically) for assigned events
4. Work with and direct on site production staff during load in and load out
5. Setup and strike lighting, video, audio, staging and other meeting and event equipment
6. Operate lighting, video, audio, staging and other meeting and event equipment during
event
7. Maintain tools, equipment, supplies and empties in a secure, organized, accessible state
8. Ensure that all site Health and Safety rules, procedures and requirements are adhered to
at all times and that safe working practices are followed
9. Trouble shoot and problem solve equipment issues and conflicts
10. Handle equipment and on site personnel challenges and changes in a timely and
professional manner
11. Direct and assist in loading and unloading trucks and vans
12. Support quality control procedures, presentation of equipment and inventory control
13. Communicate with Production Manager on equipment or personnel issues
14. Other duties as assigned
