The Creighton University Athletic Department is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Broadcast Services. The Assistant Director of Broadcast Services & Engineering assists in producing live sports coverage of Creighton Athletics programs. Core duties include both control room and in-field engineering, equipment management, event setup, and support of the 75+ live broadcasts and in-venue productions of Jays Video. Creighton, located in Omaha, Nebraska, competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the BIG EAST Conference.

Responsibilities:

Assists the department’s in-venue and live production efforts. Provides oversight and direction of in-house IT needs associated with broadcast services.
Maintain and repair video and audio control room equipment, including graphic systems, audio equipment, Video equipment systems, routers, intercoms, and display systems.
Identify students and professional freelance videographers to assist with in-venue shows along with live streaming of selected Creighton sports.
Support all technical aspects of new technology rollouts across venues.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree Required
2+ years of experience in sports live production
Experience in remote and studio production including technical directing, editing, camera operation, and audio.
Experience with Ross production equipment, Hitachi studio cameras, replay servers and related equipment is preferred.
Experience with Daktronics control systems is preferred.
Strong knowledge of IT skills, including control room settings and services.
Experience troubleshooting technical issues that may arise before or during production.
