The position produces, reports, shoots, writes, voices, edits and/or feeds interesting and timely content for digital platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful. The position promotes a favorable and consistent image of the department and the university for internal and external audiences, and champions the accomplishments of students, faculty, and/or staff. The position assists assigned sports with team-related video needs.
Produce feature content for recruiting, marketing, website/social media distribution and /or display at special events. Work closely with assigned individual sports on team analysis-related video production needs. Produce highlight packages for local, regional and television stations/networks, the department, Sun Belt Conference and various social media channels. Collaborate with broadcast and production staff on live event broadcast content creation. Identify, recruit, train and manage University students to provide support and assistance. Respond to requests from broadcast entities, the Sun Belt Conference and opponent institutions.
Experience / Skills
Knowledge of video production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including the creation of creative content and live event production; Knowledge of applicable hardware and software, such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, Photoshop, In Design and After Effects, Sportscode Gamebreaker and Data Volley; Familiarity with publishing content to various social media platforms and web content management systems; Ability to work both independently and within a team and on tight deadlines; Strong written, oral, and visual communication skills; Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
