Strategy for Winning:

Our office consists of people who are passionate, dedicated and innovative. UFC boasts one of the most powerful social media followings in all of professional sports. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for coordinating and leading various aspects of the social media function as directed.
This is a new additional role joining the Team.

Responsibilities:

-Creates engaging content and storytelling around UFC events and fighters, and drives tune-in around UFC live events, programming and products across multiple social media platforms.
-Works directly with UFC athletes and managers to ensure understanding of how to use their social accounts to build their personal brand, as well as provide insights and promotional content to support UFC initiatives.
-Serves as the boots-on-the-ground during event week to provide fans a behind the scenes look into fighters’ lives leading up to fight night, and building momentum across all social channels leading up to the event.
-Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency of messaging on social media.
-Manages day-to-day interaction and publishing to the UFC social communities. This entails becoming the expert on what is being talked about in the UFC online ecosystem, responding to customer service related posts, joining in conversations and identifying trends within conversations.
-Monitors at-replies and responds to fans, scans fighter lists for content, appearances, milestones (weddings, babies, etc) and red flags.
-Works directly with sponsors, partners, venues, and cable/satellite social media teams providing editorial calendar and assets to promote live events or tickets-on-sale campaigns through each of their respective social media outlets.
-Develops and applies best practices for each platform while targeting strategies and messaging per platform based on demographics and marketing goals.
-Manages calendar for requested posts by various departments, athletes and management teams.
-Provides reports that measure all established performance indicators.
-Manages analytics programs, as well as tracking links/codes for social POS.
-Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience / Skills


Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
-Advanced level user familiarity with various social media platforms.
-Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Photoshop, video editing software and photography skills, and the ability to learn other basic computer programs.
-Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
-Ability to work independently and thrive in a multi-task, fast-paced environment.
-Ability to research and test new platforms as well as consistently staying on top of new technology and updates to existing social media platforms.
-Ability to work long days, to be on-call when not working, extensive travel, and weekend availability is mandatory.
-Ability to adopt a social voice and personality that caters to the UFC audience and identify the right tone and style across various platforms.
