Primary Overview of Position:

The Cavaliers Holdings, LLC is seeking a skilled and talented Director of Digital Product & Web Services who is ready for the challenge of developing and driving innovative solutions across the organization’s digital platforms. We are looking for a leader with the ability to manage multiple strategic cross-functional programs/projects with an emphasis around increasing fan interactivity, upgrading visual elements platform wide and is obsessed with finding a better way in the ever-growing world of digital.

This role, which reports to the Vice President of Digital & Web Services, will be responsible for planning, managing and implementation of activities and projects that support the team and venue-related websites, mobile applications, email programs and social media channels. This leader will collaborate with the organization’s marketing, sales, and technical teams, and will be required to scope new initiatives, deliver on deadlines and manage expectations.


-Serve as a key influencer for new trends and technologies, in order to keep Cavaliers Holdings, LLC digital platforms modern in functionality, engagement and performance
-Work closely with internal and external teams to drive the communication of the overall vision and value of organization digital products
-Routinely meets with Analytics, Digital, IT Development, Marketing and Sales Teams to identify and help prioritize digital-related needs that deliver an exceptional user experience focused on increased fan interactivity
-Works as a liaison with NBA Digital for updates on site and mobile app improvements, sharing best practices and voicing the requirements and needs for our business
-Help to define/create a mobile vision and strategy with stakeholders and direct working team to build upon our mobile first approach
-Works closely with VP, Digital & Web Services and Senior Director, Digital Partnerships to generate and execute new, sellable digital-related assets and platforms dedicated to digital revenue


-Oversee maintenance of team and venue websites, including Cleveland -Cavaliers (NBA), Canton Charge (NBA G-League team), Cleveland
-Monsters (AHL team), Cavs Legion (eSports team) and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, working with internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors/leagues
-Ensure that websites are functioning properly and are always available, implementing proper monitoring, performance, security, usability, and availability best practices
-Collaborate closely with Digital, Marketing, IT Development and Implementation teams to build, launch, operate and optimize digital solutions
-Maintain, prioritize, and implement a queue of digital-related requests from internal stakeholders to meet expectations
-Responsible for creation and submission of all digital-related Purchase
-Orders and Invoices from third-party vendors
-Other duties as assigned

Experience / Skills


-Bachelor's degree in a related field
-4-6 years technical experience working with web/mobile applications, web/mobile app design, including localization workflows and best practices
-3-4 years people management experience
-A good understanding of foundational web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, PHP and JavaScript
-Experience with CMSs (Drupal, Wordpress, or something similar) and basic ability to perform maintenance of digital products
-Proven experience with analytics, and in connecting web and mobile app metrics to business goals
-Familiarity with and sensitivity to compliance with data privacy laws worldwide, including GDPR
-Working knowledge of latest email deliverability best practices
-Experience with a marketing automation system
-Attention to detail without compromising speed in execution
-Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
-Must be organized, highly motivated and team-oriented
-Maturity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic are essential
-Experience-based knowledge of Adobe Web Premium programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver is a plus
-Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and game nights as assigned
