About SportsMEDIA Technology

SMT (SportsMEDIA Technology) is the pioneer in real-time on-screen graphics, tickers, clock-and-score, virtual insertions, and social media integration for live televised sport and entertainment events.

SMT was founded in 1988 by Gerard J. Hall after developing the first real-time scoring and wireless data delivery system for the PGA Tour, replacing standard walkie-talkie communication. Since then, SMT’s innovations have spanned the world of sports and technology, providing broadcasters the data, graphics, support tools, and displays to put at-home fans in the middle of the action.
