Seeking an experienced technical professional to fill the role of Broadcast Engineer to help NHL Studios deliver high-quality transmissions of live and recorded programming. We seek a professional, passionate about Video and Audio with the willingness to learn new technologies to help support broadcast operations in studio as well as on location.


Support NHL Studios on-air operations of EVS playout system, DIVY video switcher and LAWO 2210 video routing and audio control systems, Ross graphics, lighting and production systems and their associated software and hardware infrastructure
Troubleshoot and quickly resolve technical problems within NHL Studios Control Room
Report and escalate data connection issues, such as multicast drops off from transmit and receive devices to our networking team
Support NHL Studios post-production environment consisting of Adobe CC products, Cinema 4D, Red Giant, Blackmagic

Experience / Skills


Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.
Understanding of live production- both studio and remote with passion to improve broadcast operations.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience, preferably with IP and 2110 technology
Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
Knowledge of Audio and Video Control Systems, RF, Fiber-Optics, and IP broadcast distribution systems such as LAWO.
Be willing to learn or already contain knowledge of 2110 Broadcast infrastructure
Must be able to work calmly under extremely high-pressure situations.
Able to follow directions and think independently when required.
Research and identify potential solutions for evolving technology environment
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Knowledge of computers and IT & basic networking systems
Understanding signal flows and CAD drawings; the ability to draw not a necessary
Strong understanding of control room production technologies and process
Must be a strong logical thinker and employ sound troubleshooting practices
Travel to tentpole events may be required
Must have proficient Mac operating systems.
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
Must know how to fabricate and repair common cables and connectors (BNC, XLR, RJ45, etc.)
