The Carolina Panthers are looking for an experienced and innovative Head of Production to lead all aspects of our burgeoning creative video department.

Do you want to do things the way they've been done and aspire to do what other teams are doing? Then this role isn't for you. Instead, this is a fit for someone obsessed with being different and setting new standards, whether it's a tentpole event or a piece of sponsored content.

Many teams produce high-quality video. We do that while trying to stand out from the rest. We are unique. We are a bit out there. We make others ask, "Did you see what the Panthers did?"

The Head of Production will need to be experienced in all facets of production, actively leading and creating digital and social media content while also using their vision to mold a growing department. They will also work cross-functionally to service needs for other internal departments (sponsorship, community relations, ticketing, marketing).

Primary Responsibilities

Implement a creative vision for current content and a roadmap for how we will continue to innovate in the space (i.e., maintain a strong understanding of the latest digital, social media, and video production trends shaping professional sports, including the cross-section of sports, pop culture, music, fashion, art, and entertainment).
Ideate and consistently develop original ideas that push the envelope, connect with the fan base, and expand our reach.
Help build and manage a diverse team of shooters, editors, and producers.
Create a project management workflow to ensure we hit timelines.
Schedule video department employees for all shoots, game days and special events.
Ensure proper understanding of equipment, editing software and asset management.
As necessary, be a creative lead on projects and shoot and edit video content.
Help build a more efficient workflow as we work through a current hybrid world of Adobe Premiere/Avid and Mac/PC.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all requisite software applications relative to video production and motion graphics.
Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to fulfill video requests at a high standard.
Help oversee multiple budgets within the content department.
