The Spanish Content Coordinator maintains the 49ers Spanish editorial calendar and ensures all written, video, and audio content on 49ers.com and YouTube is edited for factual and grammatical errors, has engaging headlines and sub copy optimized for SEO and is published in a timely manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Reviews and edits articles originating from various writers to ensure accuracy and relevancy before posting.
Performs curation and scheduling functions for all Spanish-language articles, videos, galleries and podcasts, applies brand style and voice to ensure consistent usage across pages, content types and platforms.
Creates engaging headlines and subtitles for photo galleries, podcasts, and videos.
Translates and publishes football and non-football press releases and breaking news alerts including roster moves and transactions.
Serves as the primary liaison for independent content contributors.
Updates the 49ers.com/espanol homepage with latest content, events, and sponsorships.
Posts and optimizes videos on the 49ers official YouTube channel.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills


Required Abilities and Skills:

Fluent in Spanish and English
Ability to copywrite and edit articles in Spanish
Strong aesthetic eye and taste level with a strict attention to detail
Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks
Understanding of NFL – General football acumen i.e. gameplay, players, etc.
Builds relationships with all organizational stakeholders through authentic, accepting and engaging communication
Creative and innovative; the ability to see alternatives and solutions
Communicates orally and in writing in a clear, concise and impartial manner

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and at least 1-3 years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience managing editorial calendars
Experience owning and executing a content strategy and tracking results over time
Experience creating original content within elevated brand guidelines
Experience using a CMS (content management system)
Experience using Adobe Photoshop
Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word
