Aspiring or know someone aspiring to be a film/video director of photography, camera operator or assistant camera? This stellar someone looks forward to a great deal of travel, long production days and becoming a critical cog of muscle at Scenic Road. Yes, we once shut down the Pacific Coastal Highway for a scene, but please note that the majority of our work is small footprint, i.e. 3-4-person crew. 90% of our work requires air travel. We are unique professionals all capable of tackling a variety of tasks and we will work to help this hire aspire to the same.
-Maintain and prepare professional video/film production gear for use on location domestically and internationally
-Pack gear in travel trunks properly as checked baggage on commercial airlines ensuring equipment is not damaged in transit
-DIT…the safe transfer of all raw footage to two separate drives simultaneously
-Be thorough and diligent with checklists, etc. so that critical gear is not left behind
-Charge batteries before each production and protect from the cold
-Use a lens belt ensuring quick access to all lenses DP is using that day as well as spare media, white balance & batteries…secure captured raw footage here as well
-When needed help book travel & source additional crew
-100% available for work 7 days/week as our productions do sometimes take place on weekends…this is not to suggest this person can not request time off
-An excellent driving record and confidence operating large SUV’s and XL vans
-Lift, load and unload trunks of gear up to 100 pounds for every production where air travel is involved
-Provide COVID vaccination record (our work happens all over including countries that require COVID vaccination for entry and often clients simply insist on it for all outside contractors, we need you to be able to join us)
-Valid/current passport or willingness to get one ASAP
-TSA Pre status or willingness to obtain ASAP
