Supercars in a Staged Studio Environment Creates Opportunity For SoCal Auto Enthusiasts to Create Unique Automotive Content

On January 20th, hundreds of Southern California auto enthusiasts gathered together at Kirby Studios in Signal Hill, CA, for a car show unlike any other. With notable sponsors Hoonigan, Supercars by the Sea, Pagani Newport Beach and Beverly Hills and Circle Porsche-Audi, the event allowed participants to photograph automobiles under professional studio lighting, at no cost.

“With Cars and Cameras, we wanted to give auto enthusiasts a unique experience to see their dream cars in an unconventional setting,” said Jim Kirby, founder of Kirby Studios. “Allowing people to view their favorite cars through the lens/lighting of a professional photographer gave us a great opportunity to connect with local car culture, while giving attendees the chance to create high-quality social media content that created hundreds of thousands of organic impressions.”

Not to be outdone, Kirby Studio’s new facility in Carrollton, TX, will soon bring this experience of a lifetime to auto enthusiasts in the DFW Metroplex.

“Our newly constructed DFW facility is unique to the area, and features a large, 3-wall cyc that’s specifically designed to photograph automobiles,” Kirby said. “Dallas car culture rivals Southern California’s. What a wonderful way to connect with the local photography and auto-enthusiast community.”

Kirby Studios TX will host Cars and Cameras in April.
Sponsors include Red Bull, Hoonigan, Lokal Media, RED Cameras and Racing & Cars
