Richard Tucci is an alumni of both Chapman and USC Film Schools, and began producing documentaries, commercials, and music videos before he graduated. One documentary project he produced in 2005, WALK IN THE LIGHT, received critical acclaim and was chosen as official selection at over a dozen film festivals and was distributed on BET Jazz as a half hour special in 2007.
After graduating, Tucci began his career working under Penny Marshall, where he worked on THE JOE FRAZIER STORY as well as several other projects.
Following his time there, Tucci worked as a freelance producer, working on several independent feature films. He was credited as Associate Producer on THIRTEEN MONTHS OF SUNSHINE, which is available for purchase at Amazon.com. He also served as production coordinator on the Anjelica Huston film THE KREUTZER SONATA, which was distributed by Axiom Films in the UK, and by IFC Films in America.
Tucci also line produced the horror feature VIRUS X, starring Sybil Danning. The film was ranked as one of the top 5 horror movies of 2011 by TrulyDisturbing.com, and was distributed by Grindstone Entertainment and Lionsgate in the US.
Tucci has also worked on the producing staff for many reality TV shows. His first breakthrough was on the show HOW TO LOOK GOOD NAKED where he was promoted to Associate Producer on the second season. The show was distributed by Lifetime Television.
He also served as an associate producer on season two of NEXT IRON CHEF which was distributed by the Food Network, and the TV special SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS WITH LEWIS BLACK, starring the infamous comedian, and distributed by The History Channel.
