About Me

My name is Gabriel HAZE and I am a filmmaker and multimedia designer living in Los Angeles, California. I currently have an extensive educational background in Film Science and hold a Bachelor of Science in Digital Arts and Design. Since my graduation from college in 2010, I have earned over forty awards worldwide for my film work including six first place awards in editing and direction alone.

My passions lie heavily in editing and directing, documentary, short film and music video production. My film work shows a great deal of emotionally charged imagery and highly skilled editing due to my innate ability to feel the mood and flow of transition.

Over the years I have mentored as a peer counselor for GLBT youth at local community centers and enjoy collaborating with local artists by providing help with branding and music video productions. In addition, I spend my free time working hard to bring many of my television and film projects to fruition, one of which includes a multiple-award winning, post-apocalyptic, supernatural television series/film trilogy concept titled "After The Third" (http://AfterTheThird.com) and I am currently in the middle of completing my first literary anthology.

Freedom - Elizabeth June
Added on 12/30/2010
Recently produced music video for upcoming music artist Elizabeth "June". "Freedom" visually demonstrates the life of the African American culture during the peaks of slavery and inequality helping to portray the need for all to come together, ending racism and bigotry in all forms. Filmed in it's entirety in an Orlando suburb apartment no more than 1,000 square feet and on a budget less than $300 dollars; this video is reminiscent of the critically acclaimed film "The Color Purple", one of the directors favorite childhood movies of all time. "Second Place Winner in the Music Video Category of the 2009, Bayou City Inspirational Film Festival" "Finalist in the 2009, Action/Cut Film Festival in Hollywood, CA" Adobe Design Achievement Awards, Semi-finalist July 2009 Mtv's "Film Of The Week" June 2009 Mtv's "Best Film On Campus" June 2009 "Official Selection of the 2009, GIAA Film Festival" "Official Selection of the 2009, 15 Minutes of Fame Film Festival" "Official Selection of the 2009, Action On Film Festival" "Showcased at the Orlando Museum of Art - Florida Film Maker Festival"

I have known Gabriel for a number of years and I find his work engaging, extraordinary and professional. He gets the job done and far surpasses any expectations. Those who work with him find his work to be such that it stretches them to give their best and surprise many. I look so forward to seeing any new production that he is involved with because I know I will see life a bit differently and be more informed....and entertained as well.
