Rowan Joseph began his voiceover career in New York City in the late 80’s studying with Dan Duckworth, one of the pioneers and “deans” of the voiceover industry. He also coached for several years with legendary NYC voiceover coach, Wendy Dillon. He studied animation/cartoon VO with Pamela Lewis, author of “Talking Funny for Money: An Introduction to the Cartoon/Character/Looping Area of Voiceovers,” considered the bible for animation voice actors.
He started work as a client of Abrams Artists Agency (AAA) in NYC and then in 2000 upon moving to Los Angeles he signed with the prestigious Special Artists Agency (SAA) considered the top agency in the VO business.
Rowan’s work covers many commercials (Chevy, Zany Brainy, IKEA, IBM). He has both a natural young male read and a folksy, slightly older read with a bit of crackle to it. He also has and extensive list of animation and character voices. He relocated to Baton Rouge, LA this past year and has been working steadily since doing both commercials25 (Russo Agency) and narration work (Falck Alford).
