Award-winning filmmaker and nature conservationist, John Dutton’s abilities as Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Editor, and Writer have taken him all over the world on a
diverse array of projects. From the beaches of the Solomon Islands to the red carpets of Hollywood, John covers the fields of Documentary, Entertainment, and Corporate filmmaking.
John moved from his native country, England to Nashville, Tennessee, where he studied filmmaking at the Watkins Film Institute, interned at Warner Reprise Records’ music video department, and subsequently produced several short films that were lauded at the Nashville Independent Film Festival.
In 1999, John embraced a successful, variety-filled, freelance career based in Los Angeles. He covered filming Oprah’s 50th mega-birthday celebration to created sponsorship videos for important organizations such as the Alzheimher’s Association. His environmental video footage has been used by the BBC / Animal Planet Europe as well as by the network news. Adhering to his mantra of Creative Media With A Message, he creates educational and awareness videos for the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service, as well as NGO’s.
John continues to travel the globe pursuing his passion for nature conservation from behind the camera and in the editing suites.
