IVA Expo 2010

Safe Harbor Computers was a proud sponsor of the Illinois Videographer Association Midwest Expo on May 18, 2010 in Chicago. Over 100 professional videographers from around the Midwest were in attendance at the all-day event to view seminars from several of the leading wedding and event videographers in the country. The Safe Harbor Computers display featured the new Adobe Creative Suite CS5 running on the Mac Pro as well as the Safe Harbor Tsunami CS5 PC workstation, equipped with a Quadro FX 3800 display card by PNY graphics. The CS5 software utilizes the Adobe Mercury Playback Engine, with GPU-acceleration enabled by select NVIDIA display cards, to provide a fluid HD editing experience with many layers and effects. The Tsunami system with CS5 also featured the Matrox MXO2 Mini with MAX I/O hardware, which provides HDMI and analog capture and playback options. The Tsunami CS5 workstation with Matrox MXO2 Mini demonstration was popular with attendees wanting to get better performance for editing HD footage, especially from their DSLR cameras.
