I am a skilled video editor, well-versed in Final Cut Pro. Among my daily tasks is to produce, direct, shoot and edit various weather segments that air on www.accuweather.com and up until February of this year on ABC channel 7.3 WLS. My many projects for Accuweather include: "Earth Matters," "Top Story," "Extreme Weather," "Bloopers & Outtakes," "Health Front," and many others. I am also responsible for the Spanish language video productions. I am often tasked with editing together special video packages such as when President Obama visited Penn State University on February 3rd to discuss his clean energy initiative. That video can be found at this link: http://www.accuweather.com/video/776378276001/president-obama-visits-univers.asp?channel=rabba. Production of all of these segments includes, but is not limited to: working with the broadcaster/writer on the script, shooting the footage for the segment, directing the talent and editing the package together using Final Cut Pro. A DVD of my work can be made available upon request, or you can see samples of my professional work at youtube.com/adolfojacosta.
Furthermore, my writing skills were recognized in the inaugural "Project Greenlight" screenwriting contest, sponsored by Miramax Films, when I placed in the top 3% of over 6,000 entries.
I have been in the industry since 2003.
