Emmy Award-winning multi-media expert: a versatile and creative project manager with vast knowledge of creating websites, including infrastructure and content; producing and developing content for video and print media. Manages and executes multimedia efforts for marketing and news, including: broadcast television, government multimedia, corporate and small business media. Contractor at the Department of Energy, Office of the OCIO.
Manager of the OCIO intranet.
Managed the creation of the intranet, from the ground up, including strategy and requirements gathering, information architecture, writing and editing content, and design of the user interface (using the principals of good web design).
Collaborate with federal managers of the ‘strategic web content management team’ on identifying their intended user audiences, assessing stakeholders’ requirements, who will own content and how to author content in plain language writing, and how to add keywords and meta tags for search engine optimization. As a team, we conduct usability tests, and user surveys in order to promote and support usability excellence.
In designing the website, applied Web 2.0 and integrated social media.
Collaborate with the IT technical support staff on architecture, hosting, software and technical issues that arise.
Developed the front end of the site using HTML, JavaScript, XML, and collaborated with back end programmers on .ASP pages, and applications.
Responsible for training others on use of the content management system, and maintaining 508 compliancy. Involved in the creation of workflows and development of policies and procedures for publishing content to the intranet.
Was directly involved in the creation, development and regular updating to the content of the web pages for (former) Undersecretary of Energy Dr. Kristen Johnson’s website.
Was involved in the initial creation of Secretary Chu’s facebook page.
Am undergoing training in the new DOE internal wiki “Powerpedia”, where I will be assigned to train other users to use and add content, and will be promoting the use of the wiki throughout DOE.
Other duties include producer (writer and editor) for internal educational videos on various subjects from how to use the voicemail system to how to use the DOE internal wiki. I have embedded these videos in the intranet and on internal technical blogs and the wiki.

I get tasked to work on any creative and marketing projects from html emails, promoting events and conferences (posters, web pages, marketing collateral) to occasional print projects.

Board member of a small start-up charity that focuses on the basic needs and education of orphans and the underprivileged in Cambodia. My duties include managing and creating web content, and consulting with web development team on overall design and function, creating blogs, embedding videos hosted on YouTube and developing the Facebook page. Marketing and fund raising using social media such as blogs, Facebook and Twitter, and quarterly newsletters.

Consultant for Graphic Design Department of NBC-TV News. Created animated and informational news graphics for national shows: “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” “Meet the Press,” and “The Chris Matthews Show,” and “The Tim Russert Show” (MSNBC).

Managed the production of training and educational videos used on IRS websites, teleconferences, and convention presentations. Worked closely with presenters to write and edit content to best fit their intended audience and the viewing medium. Managed all aspects of production from writing and editing content, directing videos and creating graphics while maintaining 508 compliancy for the hearing and visually impaired.

Senior graphic specialist for TNT, Cartoon Network, TCM, and TNT International. Special projects included the 1994 Russian Goodwill Games and the 1993 Pan Am Games in Cuba.
Responsibilities included:
• Lead graphics operator on The NBA on TNT/TBS including the NBA All-Star and NBA Draft.
• Liaison with TBS/TNT staff to develop network graphic identity (brand) for each new season.
• Designing graphics and animations for each show in pre-production phase,
• Creating the branding of the onscreen promotions for various network programs.
• Working closely with producers during editing process (pre-production & post-production).
• Training graphics design personnel in maintaining consistent branding.
