Marc O’Neill is one of Ireland’s few fulltime professional voiceovers operating daily from his own fully equipped broadcast standard studio.
His background is steeped in the arts, He is a classically trained pianist & singer / songwriter, He was a professional child actor (mainly stage productions in the UK) & also attended Art College where he studied & graduated with a diploma in graphic design.
He has worked in sales for many years predominantly within the Telecommunications industry, but felt the need for a change so he switched lanes & started selling airtime for a newly launched regional radio station in Ireland.
He was attracted to this opportunity because he wanted to consciously steer his career back to something more creative, the position not only involved media sales but also provided him with the chance to get involved in copywriting, voicing & producing radio commercials, promos & station imaging.
Over time he had enough varied commercials & promos under his belt to put together his first commercial voice demo. He was nominated for an industry "Green Horn Copyrighting Award" & he also was attracting some outside work opportunities with some advertising agencies & independent production houses.
This is when he decided to take the plunge & establish Soundbite Production in late October 2008 & he has never looked back since.
