My name is Robert Minnella and I have a strong desire to work in the television industry.
Recently, I graduated from Seneca College’s, Broadcasting - Television program and carry along with me, about five years within the television industry. This post-secondary, two year program focuses on all aspects around and within the television industry. By the end of my two years at Seneca at York,
I collected a wide range of new skills. I have learned from professionals who also bring many valuable
experiences and knowledge. Prior to graduating from the Broadcasting – Television program, I was also enrolled in a one year, Pre-Media course. This course, where I also studied at Seneca, allowed me to adapt with Mac OS and Windows computer operating systems and industry standard programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign and editing programs like Avid Adrenaline and Final Cut Pro, which in turn allowed me to develop a creative background.
Currently I am an intern for RogersTV, a local community network. I have been an intern with RogersTV for approximately three years. Production positions and roles that I have had the opportunity to take on are: TD (Technical Director), Director, Camera Operator (SD and HD), Audio Board Mixer and Guest Coordinator, are just a few amongst various positions. A few shows that I had the privilege to be a part of include: The Toronto Marlies live hockey telecast, Goldhawk Live with host, Dale Goldhawk and Toronto's Inter county Baseball League. This internship along with what I know from studying at Seneca College makes it easy for me to adapt in any shooting environments. I have a strong and knowledgeable understanding of how XD or SD cameras work, as I consider it my strong point and expertise.
