Cinematographer/Producer with global client list including Nike, IBM & Citi. Work screened at Cannes, SXSW & on ABC, ESPN & Nat Geo. Clients from outside New York, both national and international, trust my experience to accommodate productions of any size at exceptional quality.
Owns/Operates: Red Helium, Alexa Mini, Sony FS7, DJI Ronin with Ready Rig, Odyssey 7Q+ with Apollo Option, Sony A7s, Sony A7rII, & much more.
I have an extensive network of professional colleagues to staff any position needed (sound, makeup, teleprompter, etc).
I learned my craft by directing, shooting, and editing indie movies and music videos. These films have played at the biggest festivals in the world including Cannes, SXSW, and Cinequest. I’ve shot documentaries in Brazil, Thailand, China, Russia, and Cambodia; I once spent six weeks trekking through the police state of Burma, shooting incognito at considerable risk. Producing feature films has also given me valuable experience working with crews of all backgrounds and dealing with complex locations.
Working in independent film has been a great adventure and a great education, building a skill set that has translated across a range of commercial and entertainment projects. Client work includes sports videos for Nike, Adidas, and New Balance; corporate videos for Google, Citi, Google, & IBM; and branded content for Dr Pepper, American Express, & Wyndam Hyatt.
Today, I maintain a balance between passion projects and client work. I think of myself to be a generalist: a DP who thinks like an editor, an editor who thinks like a director, and a scrappy indie filmmaker who fits comfortably into a corporate environment. I own enough camera, lighting, & grip equipment to cover most video shoots; I also have experience sourcing and coordinating crew and rental equipment for large-scale productions, not just in New York but around the world.
I have been in the industry since 2004.
